Department of Higher Mathematics was organized in February 2009 as a result of the reorganization of the departments of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology.
The department has 19 people. Of them are 2 doctors of pedagogical sciences, 6 candidates of physical and mathematical sciences, 1 candidate of pedagogical sciences, 2 candidate of technical sciences, 5 PhD, 2 masters of mathematics, 1 specialist.

Department of Higher Mathematics is a service department and teachers of the department are teaching compulsory disciplines in «Higher mathematics», «Mathematics», «Mathematics 1», «Mathematics 2», «Mathematics 3» and elective subjects at the faculties: Physics and Technology, economic, transport and energy, architectural and construction, information technology, natural sciences.
