Senior Lecturer of the Fundamental Mathematics Department received a grant from N.Nazarbayev Foundation

Senior Lecturer of the Fundamental Mathematics Department of L.N. Gumilvov ENU Chigambayeva Diana Kabdushevna received a grant from N.Nazarbayev Foundation for a trip of scientific internship. The grant holder of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Foundation successfully passed a scientific internship at Imperial College from 10 to 22 October 2017.

Recall that the Imperial College London (Imperial College London) was established in 1907 on the initiative of the University of London, and became an independent higher educational institution in 2007. The university annually takes top positions in international rankings - 5th in the World and 3rd in Europe from the best high technology technical universities of the world according to QSWorld University Rankings 2013.

The Department of Mathematics at the Imperial College London prepares professional mathematicians and statisticians to study scientific and technological problems using mathematical methods and conducts research in various fields due to their excellent library facilities, computing power, information technology consulting services and outstanding level of teaching. At the Department of Fundamental Mathematics there are various seminars on fundamental mathematics. There is also a working group of scientists on mathematical analysis and theory of differential equations (Pure Analysis and PDEs), which was very useful to consult on the topic of the study and exchange experiences.

The main tasks of Diana Kabdushevna's scientific internship were the description of interpolation properties for Morrey-type spaces and their generalizations, the study of operators in these spaces, also the study of specialized foreign literature and the collection of articles on accessible mathematical sites on the research topic, as well as the exchange of experience with leading scientists of the university. The educational and methodical work was done, namely, it was listened the lectures of the Imperial College’s teachers for undergraduates and PhD students, as well as consultations on the PhD doctoral education system and PostDoc positions at the Imperial College of London. Concerning scientific research work, it was participation on scientific seminars of the department of mathematics, scientific article was prepared, and it was presentation at the scientific seminar: Pure Analysis and PDEs Seminar (http://www.imperial.ac.uk/pure-analysis-and-pdes/seminars/). There is a certificate.

Also Diana Chigambayeva actively conducted the scientific consultations with Professor of Imperial College London M.V. Ruzhansky.

For the passing of a scientific internship at the Department of Mathematics of the Imperial College of London, it was given a certificate in the amount of 72 ak. hours.

Participation of young scientists in such competitions gives financial support and stimulation, and also helps develop leadership qualities and form the sense of purpose, which is undoubtedly necessary for scientific research.
