The educational practice of bachelors aimed at consolidating the gained theoretical knowledge using the Matlab and Python systems is held at the end of the spring semester of the first year of study with a separation from studies at the university in accordance with the academic calendar of the school year and the educational program of study.

The passage of pedagogical practice allows students to create professional skills, pedagogical reflection and critical reflection on the pedagogical process in future pedagogical activity; apply, interpret and improve theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the process of learning at a university; to form a creative-research attitude to the professional activity of the teacher.
Bases of passing pedagogical practice:
- for bachelors are school-lyceum №54 of Nur-Sultan city and school-gymnasium №75 of Nur-Sultan city;
- for undergraduates and doctoral students is the L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
Industrial practice is integrative and complex, as it is based on the skills, abilities and competencies, acquired by students during the training and pedagogical types of practice.
The industrial practice takes place in accordance with the academic calendar of the school year and the educational program of study in spring semester until the beginning of the fourth semester with a separation from studies at the university.

Pre-diploma practice is the final stage in the preparation of the future mathematician, which is passed by the final year students who complete the graduate study in the 8th semester. The management of pre-diploma practice is carried out by the supervisor of the graduate work of the graduate student.
The issue of employment of graduates of the specialty "Mathematics" is one of the main tasks of the department. Teachers with great life experience help in choosing a job for graduates of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. In the academic year 2019-2020, the department graduated 68 specialists in mathematical specialties in the scientific field, of which 44 graduate students, 22 graduated from the magistracy and 2 doctoral candidates. During the summer period correspondence was actively conducted with the graduates of the department.
Our past graduates got a job in such large institutions as «Nazarbayev University», «Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade», «Nazarbayev Intellectual School», «Physics and Mathematics School», «School Zerde». Many graduates continued their studies at the magistracy of universities of the country, as well as abroad. This year, doctoral candidates successfully defended their doctoral dissertation and work of L.N. Gumilyov ENU and of E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University.
Some have chosen the way of an analyst-programmer and work in such companies as «BI Group Company», «Kazmunaygaz», «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy», «Kazakhtelecom», and others.
The employer’s forum «The way to Success which is prepared by the organization “Astana zhastary” and the job fair held at the ENU. L.N. Gumilyov by the responsible people for the employ-ment of each department, not only graduates, but also students of the 3rd and 4th courses attend who have the opportunity to choose one of the branches of the multi-disciplined specialty "Mathematics".
